GENERAL FAQ

How does your website work?
We offer dozens of classic and contemporary designs for you to print out at home, share with your own stationery professional, or imprint on custom items of your own choosing. You'll find monograms and candy wrappers that we customize to your own design and specifications. The only limit is your imagination!

Browse through our popular designs and when you've made your selections, click through to our Order Form. The first page will ask specifics about the design itself, and the second page is used to process your order. Be sure to note your colors and any other design changes at this time.

Can I see a sample design with my information before I pay for my order?
We only create monograms and custom design work once we receive payment in full.

How do I tell you what changes I want in my designs?
Your initial order form has a text box for all of your instructions to the designer; be sure to note any changes such as adding the date, changing the alignment of text, adapting the font, and indicating the specifications of your colors. Additionally, we will keep in touch with you during the design process to make sure you're satisfied with your purchase.

How long does the design process take?
At normal times, a first draft can be returned to the client within five days, provided all text, color, and dimensions specifications have been provided to Custom Printables.

Effective August 6, 2009, all custom orders with the exception of monograms must be placed at least 45 days before the date of the event due to the time it may take to revise a project. Custom orders placed within 45 days of the event may be subject to a 25% surcharge, depending on the project and current Custom Printables workload. Clients will be notified in advance of invoice if such a charge will be added.

At what point do my requested changes to a catalog item make it a customized design?
We will do all we can to furnish your completed catalog design with your input within TWO (2) edit rounds (one initial draft and one final version). If your changes last more than two edits, you will be charged for a custom design. An additional PayPal bill will be sent to the email address on record before the final version is sent.

For catalog monograms, you may change color, text, and font at no additional charge. Monograms are custom-made after two drafts (a first draft and a final version), or when images, graphic, text, or shapes not original to the design are added.

In their descriptions, most candy wrappers in the catalog indicate what changes can be made free of charge. Due to the nature of some of the backgrounds, the colors are unable to be modified; however, they may be converted to black and white at no charge.

Where should I print my invitation/program/Save the Date/etc.?
Custom Printables can design for any size specifications or printer. We are happy to recommend a number of online and local vendors through which you can purchase paper, envelopes, and other supplies. You can upload your design to a company who can print the entire design suite for you, or you can purchase paper to have a local printer do it for you. You can also print on your home computer! Please don't hesitate to ask us about your printing options!



MONOGRAMS

Should I order a catalog monogram or custom monogram?
If you like the monograms found in our monogram pages but want to alter only the font (typeface) or colors, you should order a catalog monogram. If you have custom design elements (e.g., a symbol, photograph, pre-made design) that you would like incorporated into your monogram, you should order a custom monogram.

I like so many of your designs, but I only want to purchase five. Can you create multiple proofs and I can choose my monograms from those?
Custom Printables is unable to furnish any work that is not paid for in advance. However, we will work with you as close as possible to achieve the feeling and appearance you are looking for.


WEDDING PROGRAMS

How do I order a wedding program?
Wedding programs come in a few different varieties, and the majority of them are based on a standard price of $10 per page. To order a basic wedding program, first select your cover from those in our Wedding Programs section. The text of your wedding program and any layout information must be sent to Custom Printables prior to the start of design work.

An estimate will be sent back to you and all design work must be paid for in full before work commences. If Custom Printables overestimates the length of the design work (e.g., the program is 6 pages instead of 5), there will be no additional charge for the extra pages.

What type of wedding programs can Custom Printables make?
For religious ceremonies, we can accommodate all types of needs. Hebrew may be used in any of our programs at no additional charge.

Custom Printables has two standard programs for Jewish weddings, one that includes a brief explanation of the ceremonies and traditions, and one that includes a more extensive description. We can also print out the Seven Blessings/Sheva Brachot in Hebrew, English, and English transliteration. Jewish wedding programs are our specialty, but we are proud to work with any faith tradition.
